In the nearly two decades since Jesse & Joy unveiled their full-length debut Esta Es Mi Vida, the pop-rock siblings built a discography full of genuine sentiments and seemingly timeless songcraft. Aire and Clichés, the Mexican duo’s acclaimed albums from the first half of the 2020s, broadened their artistic scope and played with genre expressions without ever sacrificing the core emotionality that drew listeners to their prior projects. On Lo Que Nos Faltó Decir, fans old and new alike have plenty more of that immersive quality to celebrate. As illustrated on preceding singles like “Digas Lo Que Digas” and the empowering “Cuando Estamos Solas”, the pair’s ability to produce elegant and mature yet undeniably sincere songs has in no way waned. Though both ballads and uptempo numbers reliably feature throughout, the multi-generational collaborations with the likes of Banda MS de Sergio Lizárraga, Carlos Vives and Elsa y Elmar, among others, offer further evidence of their continuing growth.
